Founder & Lead Architect
Born and raised in the heart of Cambodia, Theara has always been captivated by the interplay between nature and structure. His journey began with a deep appreciation for the ancient temples of Angkor, where stone and jungle coexist in a timeless embrace. This foundational inspiration drove him to pursue architecture, seeking to translate that silent dialogue into modern living spaces.
After over a decade of practice, Theara established his eponymous studio with a singular mission: to redefine "Khmer Modernism." He believes that true luxury lies not in excess, but in the thoughtful curation of space, light, and material. His designs are characterized by clean lines, local textures, and a harmonious integration with the environment.
Less, but Better. We strip away the non-essential to reveal the essence of a building. Every wall, window, and finish is intentional. We prioritize natural ventilation, sustainable materials, and the psychological impact of space on its inhabitants.
Context is Key. A building should belong to its site. Whether it's a villa in the province or a commercial space in Phnom Penh, our designs respect the local climate, culture, and topography.
